Free Image Sites and Online Editors

Here are some sites that provide royalty-free images you can use on your web sites for non-commercial purposes. Some might require that you register with the site, but none charge a fee.

To use images you find on the above sites follow these steps:

  1. Right-click on the image you want and choose "Save image as" or "Save picture as" to save it to your images directory for your web site.
  2. Find the image in your site in Dreamweaver and PUT it on the web server (like you do with pages you create for your web site).
  3. Open the page you want to include the image on in Dreamweaver.
  4. In Dreamweaver, click on INSERT > IMAGE.
  5. Find the image, click on it, then click the OK button.

If an image you want to insert on a page is too large, there are free online editors you can use to resize or crop the image to a more desirable size. Some also allow you to apply cool effects to the image. Try some of the following:
