July 2005 TidbitsMS Word automatically breaks hyphenated words (or numbers) when it needs to at the end of a line. But sometimes you might wish it didn't! To prevent Word from doing what it thinks is best, use a non-breaking hyphen instead. Here's how:

Need to enter a new URL in the address bar of your browser? Well, leave that mouse alone and do it the quick way: ALT + D. This keyboard shortcut will highlight the current address in your browser so you can type a new URL or paste one that you've copied.

Most libraries now have digital cameras for taking photos at special events. You can then share the photos with your local newspaper, load them on your web site, or email them to friends & family. Few of us know, however, what makes a good picture, how to edit our photos, or how to share them so that we don't clog our family's email inbox.
Kodak has some nice tips and tricks on the Taking Great Pictures page of their web site. They share information on printing, sharing, getting started with digital cameras, photo composition and more. Check it out and see if you learn something new!
