April 2005 TidbitsOWLS staff recently uncovered an undocumented feature in Windows that automatically backs up all your files on a server at Microsoft. Simply use the following keyboard combination and all of your data will be saved.
Crtl + Win + Alt + B
We also created a shortcut you can use with a simple click of a button:
Pretty easy, no? And even better, it's FREE!
Why waste your time with used book sales when you could make millions selling your used items on eBay?! We recently put a Cooler by the Lake stress cow (from the 1st generation) up for auction and sold it for a huge profit. An 80 year-old woman in St. James, Minnesota was thrilled to have the winning bid of $690,988.82.

"I've collected cows my entire life," the winner stated in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, "and the CBTL cow is one I have been trying to get for the last 5 years. I was so excited to see it available on eBay!"

A new computer virus
has recently been detected and is reported as being highly contagious to
humans. Experts agree that it was only a matter of time before technology
advanced to a level such as this. A recent study from the DCDC (Department
of Computer Disease Control) states that close contact between computer keyboards
and humans could propagate this recent attack to epidemic proportions by
early fall of 2005.
This ingenious new computer virus is designed to spread by generating
just enough heat thought the keyboard cable to infect and liquefy the
grease-based lubricant under certain computer keyboard key caps. The
infected grease is then reported to be introduced to the skin of an
unsuspecting computer typist causing mild cold like symptoms of a sniffling
runny nose.
Further studies have found that an infected human is not contagious
to other humans, but is very contagious to other computers through
contact with computer keyboards. The DCDC is currently looking for an anti-virus solution to
this yet un-named computer virus. The DCDC is also highly recommending
that all computer users protect themselves (and other innocent computers) from
further infection by wearing protective disposable gloves.
The recommended disposable gloves are just like those worn by the food service industry and are readily available. Many fast food locations are currently sponsoring a "Protect Your Processor" day in which disposable protective gloves are given to any customer for the asking. Protective disposable plastic gloves are also available from Amazon.com.
If you suspect that your computer has contracted this virus, don't call us. We don't want to know!
Farewell until next time from the library system where all the computers are fast, all the books are worth reading, and all the librarians are above average!
