2004 TidbitsIt can sometimes be helpful to clear out your Internet browser's temporary files, especially if you want to force the browser to go out and snatch the current version of a page rather than serve up the cached temp version. Or maybe an OWLS staff person has asked you to "clear your browser's cache" when trying to help you troubleshoot a browser problem.
If you're using Internet Explorer 6, you can set it to clear the temp files automatically each time you close the browser. This is much more handy than going through the steps of clearing the temp files manually when you have problems, and it will likely help your browser run more efficiently.
Here's how you can set IE's temp files to automatically clear on exit:
If you work in MS Word a lot, you might find some of these keyboard shortcuts handy for hopping around within your documents:
