Teen Librarian - Waupaca Area Public Library
Waupaca seeks a dynamic, creative individual who will be in charge of one the coolest Teen Programs and the premiere teen room in the state! The Teen Room (aka the Best Cellar) is a model institution cited in YALSA’s Teen Space Guidelines.
This full time position offers a fun atmosphere with team support. Included in responsibilities are supervision of teen staff; planning and facilitation of programs; sharing knowledge of teen literature; managing the teen collection; marketing teen program through social media, performing outreach services, sponsoring the Student Library Advisory Group (SLAG) and advocating for teens in the community.
As a member of the Children’s Services Team this individual will also provide support for children’s programs and services.
Requirements of the position are an MLS or five years of library experience in youth services. Experience working with teens a must! Salary range $31,000-$35,000 with full benefit package.
