RDA (Resource description and access), will soon replace AACR2 cataloging rules. The new rules are in the discussion and deliberation phase. In order to provide a background to the new rules I will be posting articles on this site that to me, help clarify the conundrum of developing new rules and place the discussion in a more accessible (pun intended) light.
