International Latino Book Awards

Books in English about Latinos
The Barahona Center at California State University San Marcos promotes literacy in English and Spanish. The webpages are available in either English or Spanish and searchable by title, subject, ISBN, Dewey number, reviews, date of publication, translator, illustrator and publisher. Also included are lists of new books, updated weekly.

Pura Belpré Award Books
"Pura Belpré Award, established in 1996, is presented to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth." Co-sponsored by ALA and REFORMA.

Américas Award for Children's and Young Adult Literature
From the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at UWM, the Américas Award is given in recognition of U.S. works of fiction, poetry, folklore, or selected non-fiction (from picture books to works for young adults) published in the previous year in English or Spanish that authentically and engagingly portray Latin America, the Caribbean, or Latinos in the United States.
