County Budgets
County budget requests are based on the methodology contained in Section 43.12, Wisconsin Statutes and the methodologies contained in each County's Library Service Plan.
Outagamie County
In accordance with the current county plan [pdf], all libraries will again be funded at the same percentage level of the funding formula in 2008. The OWLS Board submitted a 2008 budget request that would result in 79.0% funding for libraries. The request is for $1,137,402, and it requires a 2.6% increase in the budget over 2007. The County Executive has recommended funding the library budget as requested, and the County Board has approved the recommended amount as part of the 2008 County budget.

Waupaca County
In accordance with the county plan [pdf], all libraries will again be funded at the same percentage level of the funding formula in 2008. The OWLS Board submitted a 2008 budget request for $689,699 that would result in 83.0% funding for libraries. On October 22, 2007, the Finance Committee voted to recommend a 2008 budget of $681,390, which would result in all libraries receiving 82% of the county funding formula. The Finance Committe's recommendation was approved by the full County Board.
