County Budgets
County budget requests are based on the methodology contained in Section 43.12, Wisconsin Statutes and the methodologies contained in each County's Library Service Plan.
Outagamie County
In accordance with the current county plan [pdf], all libraries will be funded at the same percentage level of the funding formula in 2007. In 2006, libraries were funded at levels ranging from 74.0% to 83.37% of the county formula. The OWLS Board has approved a 2007 budget request that would result in 78.0% funding for libraries. The request is for $1,108,937, and it requires a 4.9% increase in the budget over 2006.
The County Executive included full funding for the request in his budget, and it was adopted on November 6, 2006 by the County Board. Details of the budget request are contained in the 2007 budget spreadsheet [pdf].

Waupaca County
In accordance with the county plan [pdf], all libraries will be funded at the same percentage level of the funding formula in 2007. In 2006, libraries were funded at levels ranging from 80.0% to 92.0% of the county formula. The OWLS Board has approved a 2007 budget request that would result in 82.0% funding for libraries.
